English Language Arts (ELA)

  1. Reading Literature

    • Figuring Out Meanings: Learn to figure out the meanings of words and phrases in the story, and understand the main message.
  2. Reading Informational Text

    • Understand Facts: Read non-fiction texts and find important facts and ideas.
    • Summarize Information: Be able to summarize the main points in the text and understand how the text is organized.
  3. Writing

    • Write Clearly: Write stories, reports, and other texts with a clear beginning, middle, and end.
    • Use Details: Include important details and information to help others understand what you’re writing about.
  4. Speaking and Listening

    • Share Ideas: Participate in discussions, listen to others, and share your own ideas clearly.
    • Ask Questions: Ask and answer questions to get more information or to understand something better.
